Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization(SEO) – The importance of SEO was never more than what it is right now

SEO is always evolving, a moving target and that means your online presence must keep evolving, too. You have to keep pace with the online trends or else you will lag behind. You can be rest assured that there is a certain amount of knowledge and expertise to get your website found by the audience you’re trying to reach.

Search engine optimization(SEO) is a marathon, not a sprint. It can take up to 6 months before you see any results, no matter how much money you spend. So you have to be a little patient and make sure your rankings are improving on a monthly basis & not on an hourly basis.

To improve rankings you will have to do both On Site SEO(optimize your own site) and Off page SEO which is blogs and contents that link back to your site.

SEO is based on a lot of Combinations

There is no single SEO factor that will guarantee search engine rankings. Having a great HTML title won’t help if a page has low quality content. Having many links won’t help if they are all low in quality. Having several positive factors can increase the odds of success while the presence of negative factors can worsen those odds. So its a game of permutation and combination to increase your probability of ranking high. Believe me no one can guarantee the results when it comes to SEO and SERP rankings. Also you should always research the products offered by companies before going for them.

Every Website likes to be on the first page or even number 1 on search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing but its a lot of things that come into play and we all can try to do our best to meet those criteria but there is no guarantee of any sort when it comes to search engine optimization.

Search engines have two major functions: crawling and building an index, and providing search users with a ranked list of the websites they’ve determined are the most relevant.

Google recommends the following to get better rankings in their search engine:

  • Make pages primarily for users, not for search engines. Don’t deceive your users or present different content to search engines than you display to users, a practice commonly referred to as “cloaking.”
  • Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.
  • Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content. Make sure that your <title> elements and ALT attributes are descriptive and accurate.
  • Use keywords to create descriptive, human-friendly URLs. Provide one version of a URL to reach a document, using 301 redirects or the rel=”canonical” attribute to address duplicate content.

Search engine optimization is often about making small modifications to parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with other optimizations, they could have a noticeable impact on your site’s user experience and performance in organic search results. You’re likely already familiar with many of the things posted above, because they’re essential ingredients for any web page, but you may not be making the most out of them.
